In House Boating Course
At Peters Marine, we believe in promoting safe boating to benefit all of us who use the water. Throughout the year, our local US Power Squadrons chapter teaches the safe boating course, America’s Boating Course. After successfully passing the course, students will be able to legally pilot a boat and a jet ski in all states. The class takes about eight hours and is usually split between two days/evenings.

April 6th & 13th: 9AM-1PM (both days MUST be attended)
All classes are taught by certified instructors. The fee for the course is $50 to cover books/materials. Couples are offered a discount if they share materials. Contact us to sign up!

Who can attend this course?
Any PA resident 12 years of age or older.
Is this required to operate a PWC (Jet Ski) in Pennsylvania?
Yes, this certificate is required to operate a PWC in Pennsylvania.
Is this required to operate a motorboat in Pennsylvania?
Yes, if you were born after January 1st, 1982.
Is this course recognized nationwide?
Yes, the PA Safety Education Course is recognized nationwide.
How does NJ state differ with boater’s safety?
The State of New Jersey requires a Safety Certificate for all ages.
After I complete the course & pass the test, what do I receive?
You can receive a temporary certificate. You may apply for a permanent card once you submit a $10 check to the PA Fish & Boat Commission.
